Valve於9/26在Steam下架接近200款低質素的半成品遊戲。這些遊戲全部都屬於Silicon Echo Studios，不少玩家反映來自這間工作室的遊戲存在着不少漏洞。因為Silicon Echo曾利用這些遊戲讓玩家與製作團隊來回販賣遊戲卡片從中獲利，Valve這次的舉動亦顯示出Steam的確擁有大量這類垃圾遊戲。
Youtuber SidAlpha針對Silicon Echo調查這間工作室在Steam發佈了多少遊戲，竟發現單單是7至8月新發行的遊戲，Silicon Echo已佔了10%，他們甚至以不同工作室名稱為遊戲上架，例如Zonitron Productions。
這次Valve總共下架了176款遊戲，這些遊戲主要以平價甚至免費的形式，又或以同捆組合的方法出售。玩家透過遊玩這些遊戲從而提升用家等級及收集遊戲卡片，雖然出售這些卡片並不能賺大錢，但至少能夠抵消日常買Game的價錢。
Valve在Polygon發表聲明：
"Yes, we have a full-time team monitoring reports and they identified an issue that lead to the removal of some titles from a few different Steamworks accounts,” Valve said. “These accounts were generating a lot of reports and frustration from customers and other developers. It turns out that the bad actors were all the same person operating under different accounts."
